Hello Friends, today I am telling you about my country India. India is the seventh largest country. India is surrounded by water on three sides. People in India speak in different languages, prepare different types of food, wear different clothes and celebrate different festivals. Now friends, let us know different types of symbols.


The national flag- It is in rectangular shape. It is in Orange, White and Green colour. At the centre of the white band is a blue coloured wheel known as the Ashoka Chakra. The Ashoka Chakra has 24 spokes.
The national bird-The peacock is the national bird of your country.It is very beautiful.
The national flower-The lotus is the national flower of your country.
The national fruit-The mango is the national fruit of India. It is rich in sources of vitamin.

Now let's see National Holidays.

Republic Day:
Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January. India become a republic on 26 January, 1950. On Republic Day we do Flag hoisting.

Independence Day:
On 15th August 1947 India become independent. The British rule in India came to end. Independence Day is celebrated throughout the country

Gandhi Jayanti:
Gandhi Jayanti falls on 2nd October, every year. It is the birthday of the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
