Do you think junk food is harmful for us?... Yes, you are right. It is harmful for our health. Eating junk food on a regular basis can lead to an increased risk of obesity and chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and some cancers. We know Australian's eat too much junk food. 35% of adults' daily energy intake comes from junk food in the short term. Poor nutrition can contribute to stress, tiredness and our capacity to work, and over time, it can increase the risk of developing some illnesses and other health problems such as- being overweight or obese, tooth decay, high blood pressure.
