Special Birthday 🎂🎂
Hello friends. I am sure you all tired of sitting at home all the time, waiting for school to start. I know that is really boring to just sit at home and attend the classes online, we can’t really enjoy our classes. I am sure you are longing to sit in a classroom and walk through the halls of your school. But don’t worry soon the government will start our school and we will be able to enjoy education.
Meanwhile let me lighten these dark times for you. I will recount my birthday, during lockdown. The funny thing is that I am writing a blog about my last birthday, when my next one is in five days. 😅 Isn’t it funny!? Back to my previous birthday….
I was in my village, Malegaon. My maternal grandmother lives there and I just love visiting her
One of the reasons I like it there is because there are a lot of animals there. In the afternoon or evening, without fail, a herd of cows and bulls come in front of our gate. I love feeding them.
I was visiting there for Diwali and we decided to stay for a few months. School wasn’t a problem, because we had online classes. My aunt and uncle were also visiting. They also brought there pet dog, Lucy, she is a golden retriever and the most adorable thing ever!
One day me and my aunt went to shop for some clothes, for my birthday. We brought a beautiful red and white dress with long sleeves.
One afternoon, I was examining one of my grandmother’s cupboards in the attic and I found out two cuboid-shaped packages, which were gift-wrapped. I took them out of the cupboard and was about to open them, thinking that these were just some gifts given to my grandmother. But at that second my aunt and my mother came upstairs and told me not to open them. They said that the gifts belonged to my grandmother and told me it was rude to open something that was hers.
But something smelled fishy, I always looked in my grandma’s cupboards and no one had ever said a thing before. So I decided to investigate. After lunch when everyone was sleeping, I went into the attic to examine the boxes, but when I opened the door, the boxes were gone! I searched the entire cupboard, but I didn’t find them.
Something happened that made me forget the boxes, I heard my brother calling me downstairs. I didn’t know why. But when I reached the bottom of the stairs I found out why. There was a herd of cows, right outside our gate. Me and my brother raced to the gate, to see who would reach the cows first. But while my brother ran to the gate, I went around to get some leaves for the cows. Thanks to the cows and my brother, I totally forgot about the boxes.
On the day of my birthday, we decorated the house and my grandma made something sweet for me. It was like a mithai, but made of biscuits. Our neighbour, who makes great cakes, made my birthday cake. I wanted to see her at work, so she let me watch.
It was a family birthday, we cut the cake and had a photo shoot and so much fun! I also found out what those mysterious boxes were, when I received my gifts. They were my favourite books ; Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.
So my birthday went pretty well, considering the fact that it was lockdown.
